Weirholme Software started as a small limited company in 2010. Its then focus was on software application for the web, in particular web services for Amazon Web Service and Google Cloud platforms.

In 2016 the limited company changed its organisation to a private software consultancy. Its primary focus became research and software development that build upon expertise in machine learning and statistical signal processing.

In 2016, Weirholme Software was disolved as a limited company but continued to trade as consultancy with FH as the principal consultant.

Besides software development, FH taught the Software Systems Development at the University of Exeter and expert evaluations for the Horizon Europe programme since early 2000. The programme has a budget of EUR 95.5 billion for the period from 2021-2027. The programme is intended to support research and innovation into environmental sustainability, green development and digital innovation as its priorities.

Frank Herrmann is the principal consultant of Weirholme Software. His experience is in scientific computing and data modelling. His software development is primarily based Java, Javascript and Python languages.
